Urban Rec Wine Club
Welcome to the Urban Rec Wine Club.
No membership required. Only that you like to drink, I mean taste wine, and enjoy learning about it with great people. We keep it nice and easy. Taste wines, talk about them, learn a bit and have a good time.
We meet at Relish, the restaurant and lounge where they have a great private room for us. And of course a lounge for that perfect cleansing ale for après wine!
Wine has been a daunting subject, and it should be enjoyed by all on a regular basis
- Learn how to taste wine
- The difference between grape Varietals
- Different aromas and flavours using smell & taste.
- Differences in body, tannin and sweetness of wines
We will lead you through the major grape varietals by tasting a series of the Wines of Spain & Portugal. It will be an evening of fun learning in a relaxed environment.
The wines also will be paired with certain foods, such as cheese, basic flavor components and textures
All this will be lead by Wine Leader Keith Nicholson
Cost: $40 (+gst) - Includes wine, light snacks and class notes
